In February 2017, Supporting the Girls celebrated the 5-year Anniversary of our official incorporation date on February 17, 2012. In five years, we’ve given out over 8,000 new bras each with a handwritten note of encouragement attached. We’ve raised over $45,000 from our friends and neighbors and community groups in Central Ohio. Thank you all for supporting the girls who are Supporting the Girls!
On Saturday, November 11, 2017, Supporting the Girls will be having a workshop at The Gathering Place (74 N. State Street, Westerville, OH 43081) from 9 AM until 1 PM. Come join us and help us process bras, create tags, and prepare donations for different organizations.
Thank you to Jenna Johnston who has served for the past two years as our Community Program Coordinator. She has trained over 150 unique volunteers and supervised more than 1,200 community volunteer hours! In addition to running our workshops, Jenna has mentored dozens of younger girls through the middle schools’ MODEL program and Girl Scouts’ bronze award projects. We wish Jenna all the best as she heads off to college this fall!
